As Research Associate in our
Brooklyn Park, MN Research & Development facility, your primary function is to
perform responsible, professional research requiring a good understanding of
scientific principles. Your principle effort is directed towards performing
analytical development work on projects in accordance with cGMPs.
Responsibilities include development and validation of analytical methods,
analytical support for formulation development and scale-up of manufacturing
processes, clinical release testing, stability testing, analytical technology
transfer, and testing of drug substances in the development of new drug products
and drug delivery systems.
As CIMA LABS’ ideal candidate,
you’ll have a B.S. degree in chemistry with 2+ years of experience or a M.S.
degree. Relevant experience in a cGMP pharmaceutical analytical laboratory is
preferred, along with practical experience in HPLC, UV/VIS, FTIR, and
dissolution testing. Strong verbal and written communication skills are
required, as well as the ability to solve problems and to multi-task
effectively.

Laboratory Technician

Description
• This position will
provide laboratory support to the application and development of novel monomers
and polymers.
Technical Skills
·
Ability to perform organic-chemical and/or polymer synthesis at a
laboratory scale.
·
Ability to accurately follow direction and written procedures.
·
Ability to safely handle hazardous materials such as flammable solvents
in a laboratory setting.
·
Ability to generate accurate, reproducible data that can be used to develop product prototypes.
·
Ability to learn analytical procedures for routine application to
experimental polymeric materials.
Qualifications
•
B.S. or B.A. chemistry or a related field. Zero to five years
laboratory experience. Some knowledge of polymer chemistry is desirable.
